The crunchy Ginger-Oat Prenatal Kookie is created specifically to help mamas enjoy a delicious Gluten Free snack that is packed with ingredients like iron, folate and omega-3 to help fill in the nutritional gap that mamas need to nourish themselves and their babies throughout their pregnancy journey. Each 8 oz container of cookies contains around 24 cookies and the cookies will remain fresh for 4 months. The small, round, crunchy, Prenatal Kookies, can be enjoyed whenever mama needs a little pregnancy boost!
Ingredients we included specifically for you, mama:
Ginger: For Nausea. Ginger relieves indigestion, nausea, colic, gas, heartburn, morning sickness, and may even ease acid reflux.
Roasted Sunflower Seeds: Folate (known as the birth-defect fighting vitamin). Sunflower seeds are especially high in vitamin E and Selenium. These function as antioxidants to protect your body’s cells against free radical damage, which plays a role in several chronic diseases.
Chia Seeds: During pregnancy, omega-3s are particularly important because they support fetal brain development. Evidence suggests that omega-3s also reduce the risk of premature birth. Chia seeds are one of the best plant sources of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), a form of omega-3. Chia seeds also contain: Fiber, Protein, Fat, Calcium, Manganese, Magnesium, Phosphorus and a decent amount of zinc, vitamin B3 (niacin), potassium, vitamin B1 (thiamine) and vitamin B2.
Rolled Oats: Complex Carbohydrates, Potassium and Iron. Oats contain considerable dietary fiber that helps regulate your digestive system, which pregnancy often disrupts. Oats are a valuable source of potassium and iron in a pregnancy diet.
